Screw Clamps

Screw hose clampsscrew consist of a band hooked on which a screw thread pattern has been cut or pressed. One end of the band contains a caged screw. The clamp is put around the hose or tube to be connected, through the loose end being fed into a tapered space between the band and the caged screw. While the screw is twisted, it acts as a warm drive pulling the threads of the band, for the reason that the band to tighten around the hose. Screw clamps are normally used for hoses ½ in diameter and up, with other clamps used for smaller hoses.
